SA 1620E chosen for increased productivity
Billericay, Essex-based specialty packaging and litho-laminators, Cunis Ltd, have taken delivery of a new Eterna SA 1620E semi-automatic die-cutter. It was chosen to replace hand platens and has already proven to be a versatile and efficient machine. Cunis have certainly put the Eterna through its paces, running cartonboard, Correx material and a range of corrugated substrates.
The SA 1620E semi-automatic die-cutter, supplied by M&K Trading, is an ideal machine for short run die-cutting, as it is quick to set and has a speed of 3,000 cycles per hour. This easily replaces two or three hand fed platens and needs only one operator.
Joint Owner and Director Mike Fix says, “The Eterna compliments our existing equipment and has enabled us to improve lead times and take on larger runs that in the past would have presented serious challenges in production.”
The company operates a speciality packaging operation, manufacturing rigid, paper-over-board cartons, a recent addition that runs alongside the exisiting litho-laminated packaging and POS display side of the business.
